Tradogram alternative and Tradogram competitors with requisitions and approvals on a published plan
Procurer is a Tradogram alternative for US companies with 50 to 1 000 staff that need many people to request, approve and receive purchases. Tradogram's published plan, Essentials at 99 USD per month for one user, covers purchase orders, suppliers and AP invoices, while requisitions, receiving, budget tracking and custom approvals sit on Premium, which is quoted. Procurer puts that whole workflow on published plans: 149, 299 or 699 USD per month per company, with 25, 100 or 300 user accounts.

What is the best Tradogram alternative?
The best Tradogram alternative depends on which wall you hit. If you outgrew Essentials because more people need to request and approve purchases, pick a tool that includes requisitions, approval rules and receiving on a plan with a listed price, which is how Procurer is sold. If you want purchasing, expenses and supplier payments from one vendor, Procurify or Precoro bundle more modules at a higher price. If you only have a couple of buyers, Spendwise or Tradogram Essentials itself may be enough.
Why do companies look for Tradogram alternatives?
Tradogram is a capable purchasing suite with a low entry price, and a single buyer placing every order can run on Essentials for years. Companies start comparing when the purchasing process stops being one person's job.
- Requisitions and receiving are on Premium. The moment department heads need to ask before they buy, or the warehouse needs to confirm a delivery before AP pays, the published 99 USD plan no longer covers the process.
- Custom approvals are on Premium too. A policy like manager up to 1 000 USD and Controller above 10 000 USD needs custom approval routing, and Premium is priced by quote.
- Users carry a fee. Tradogram's pricing page says an additional user fee applies on Essentials and Premium without publishing the amount, so every requester, approver and receiver changes the bill.
- Integrations, SSO and API are add-ons. ERP and accounting integrations, single sign on and API access are listed as add-ons on every plan, which adds lines to the quote.
If none of that applies, Tradogram is a reasonable place to stay. If two or more do, the comparison below shows what changes.
Tradogram vs Procurer compared feature by feature
The Tradogram column comes from tradogram.com/pricing, checked in October 2026. Older directory listings still show Pro at 195 USD and Premium at 375 USD per month and a free tier, which no longer appear on the vendor page.

Where Tradogram is stronger: expenses and supplier payments in the same product, PunchOut, QuickBooks Desktop support and the cheapest start for a single buyer. Where Procurer is stronger: the request, approve, receive and match workflow sits on plans you can price without a call, and adding requesters inside the plan limit costs nothing extra.
Which plan covers the workflow at three team sizes
Price is not the only thing to compare, because the plan you need is set by which steps your process has. This table shows the lowest plan on each side that covers requisitions, approvals and receiving, which most companies with more than a handful of buyers require.

What you get from Procurer as a Tradogram replacement
Procurer covers the purchase to pay cycle a controller runs every week, priced per company.
- Purchase requests with custom fields, attachments and the remaining department budget shown before anyone submits.
- Approval rules by amount and department on every plan, and from Business unlimited steps with conditions by category, project and supplier, plus approvals in Slack and Microsoft Teams. See purchase order approval software.
- Purchase orders generated from the approved request and emailed to the supplier as a PDF with your terms.
- Full and partial receiving, line by line, by the person who signed for the delivery.
- Three-way matching of PO, receipt and invoice with tolerance rules from Business. See three way match software.
- On Scale, a supplier portal, supplier onboarding with W-9 and insurance checks, contracts with renewal alerts, RFQs, up to 5 legal entities, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, SSO and an API.
Matched bills go out as an import file for QuickBooks Online or Xero on every plan. Xero companies can see the approval setup on Xero purchase order approval.
A 140 person veterinary group comparing the two
Take a US veterinary group with 140 staff across six clinics, running Xero. Thirty people raise or approve purchases: six clinic managers, head technicians, the operations director, the Controller and the owner. Medical supplies, equipment repairs and facility work run through POs. Policy is clinic manager approval up to 1 000 USD, operations director above 1 000 USD and Controller above 10 000 USD, and the clinic has to confirm every delivery before AP pays the distributor.
On Tradogram: requisitions, receiving, custom approvals and multiple locations are all Premium features, so the group needs a Premium quote for 30 users plus the Xero integration add-on. Essentials at 99 USD a month does not cover the process.
On Procurer: Business at 249 USD a month billed yearly, 2 988 USD a year, covers up to 100 user accounts, a budget per clinic, the three step approval chain, line level receiving, three-way matching and the Xero bills export.
What they give up with Procurer: expense management, built in supplier payments and PunchOut to their distributor's catalog.
The deciding number is the Premium quote. If it lands near 2 988 USD a year with all users and the integration included, the broader Tradogram module list may justify it. If it lands several times higher, the group is paying for modules it does not use.
How to switch from Tradogram to Procurer
Most mid-size companies move in one to two weeks and run both tools until the Tradogram renewal date, so no order is left half approved.
1. Export suppliers and open purchase orders from Tradogram to CSV and import them into Procurer with payment terms and default accounts.
2. Rebuild approval rules from templates. A common matrix is manager above 1 000 USD, Controller above 5 000 USD and CFO above 25 000 USD.
3. Load department or location budgets and set the account codes for the QuickBooks Online or Xero bills export.
4. Invite requesters, share the purchase request link in Slack or on your intranet, and close open Tradogram POs as they are received and billed.
Business includes an onboarding session and Scale a dedicated onboarding manager. The full flow is on how it works.
When Tradogram is the better choice
Stay on Tradogram, or pick it, when:
- One or two buyers place every order and nobody else needs to request, so Essentials covers the job at 99 USD a month.
- You want expenses and supplier payments in the same tool as purchase orders.
- Your books are in QuickBooks Desktop, which Tradogram supports and Procurer does not.
- Most of your buying runs through PunchOut catalogs.
If what you need is every purchase requested, approved, received and matched before payment, with as many requesters as the company has, Procurer is built for that.
Procurer pricing published per company
Team costs 149 USD per month (124 USD billed yearly) for up to 25 user accounts, 2 approval steps, department budgets, receiving and QuickBooks Online or Xero bills export. Business costs 299 USD per month (249 USD billed yearly) for up to 100 user accounts and adds unlimited approval steps, three-way matching, project and GL budgets, catalogs and spend analytics. Scale costs 699 USD per month (579 USD billed yearly) for up to 300 user accounts, 5 legal entities, a supplier portal, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, SSO and an API. Enterprise costs 1 299 USD per month (1 079 USD billed yearly).
Who are Tradogram's competitors?
Tradogram's competitors on US shortlists include Procurify, Precoro, ProcureDesk, ProcurementExpress, Spendwise, Coupa and Procurer. Procurify and Precoro bundle expenses and AP with purchasing, ProcureDesk adds done for you onboarding, ProcurementExpress prices by monthly spend, Spendwise charges per user, Coupa leans enterprise, and Procurer prices per company.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Tradogram?
For a single buyer, Tradogram Essentials at 99 USD a month is hard to beat. For a team where 10 to 100 people request and approve purchases, Procurer is usually cheaper because requisitions, approvals and receiving are on published plans: Team at 149 USD a month for 25 users or Business at 299 USD for 100.
Does Tradogram Essentials include purchase requisitions?
No. Tradogram's pricing page lists purchase orders, supplier management, AP invoices, TradoPay, TradoScan AI, expenses and mobile apps on Essentials. Requisitions, receiving, real time budget tracking, contract management and custom approvals are listed on Premium, which is priced by custom quote.
Is Tradogram good for small businesses?
Tradogram suits small businesses where one person buys everything, because Essentials costs 99 USD a month and covers purchase orders and supplier invoices. Once several employees need to request purchases and a manager has to approve them, the required features move to Premium, so get that quote before you commit.
Can I move my Tradogram data to Procurer?
Yes. Suppliers and open purchase orders export from Tradogram to CSV and import into Procurer, and approval rules are rebuilt from templates, which usually takes an afternoon. Enterprise also includes migration of historical POs and supplier records.
