Precoro pricing and cost per year: Core, Automation and Enterprise plans compared

Precoro publishes three plans: Core from 499 USD per month, Automation from 999 USD per month, and Enterprise by custom quote, all billed annually. That puts the entry price at about 5 988 USD a year and Automation at about 11 988 USD a year before any add-ons or a premium setup. If you want purchase requests, approvals, purchase orders and three-way matching on monthly terms, Procurer costs 149, 299 or 699 USD per month per company.

How much does Precoro cost?

Precoro is one of the few procurement vendors that lists prices on its own pricing page, which makes budgeting easier than with quote-only tools. The "starts at" wording matters, though: plans are tier based, and the page does not state how many users each tier includes, so the figure on your order form can be higher than the headline.

What is included in Precoro Core and Automation?

Core is already a fairly complete purchasing product. According to Precoro's pricing page it includes purchase requests, purchase orders, receipts, invoices, two and three-way matching, automated approvals, custom fields and workflows, an item and service catalog, vendor management, a contract repository, expense management, and QuickBooks Online, Xero and Slack integrations.

Automation adds the pieces a larger finance team usually asks for next: intelligent AP automation, e-invoicing, intake management, inventory, PunchOut catalogs, AI document scanning, vendor onboarding, a supplier portal, RFPs, real-time budget tracking, an AI assistant, wider integrations, API access and SSO.

Enterprise adds unlimited users, advanced admin controls, ERP and custom integrations, a choice of US or EU servers and IP whitelisting.

The practical reading: if you need real-time budget tracking, a supplier portal, SSO or API access, you are shopping at the Automation price, not the Core price. Plan your comparison on that basis.

What adds to a Precoro quote

The listed price is the floor. Four things typically move the number, and they are worth asking about in writing before you sign.

  • Users. Plans are tier based. Ask how many users each tier covers and what the next tier costs, because approvers and budget owners multiply as you add departments.
  • Setup. Precoro lists standard onboarding (two consultations and one training hour) and a premium Concierge setup. Ask whether Concierge is billed separately on Core and Automation.
  • Add-ons. The pricing page says add-ons are available on request. Get a price for each one you might need in year two, not only year one.
  • Billing terms. Every listed plan is billed annually. There is no monthly option on the pricing page, so the first payment is roughly 6 000 or 12 000 USD up front.

A simple test: ask sales for the total cost of the first two years, with your real user count and any setup fee, in one number. That is the figure to compare.

Precoro pricing vs Procurer pricing

Procurer covers the purchase to payment cycle that most mid-size US finance teams run every week, and it is priced per company with a pool of user accounts rather than by tier plus add-ons. Here is how the two price lists line up.

The honest trade-off: Precoro packs more modules into its entry plan, including expense management, a contract repository and inventory from Automation. Procurer is narrower and cheaper, and it stays focused on requests, approvals, purchase orders, receiving, matching and budgets. If invoices are the real bottleneck rather than purchasing, a dedicated accounts payable automation tool may be the better first purchase.

Precoro cost for a 120 person company: a worked example

Take a US distributor with 120 staff. Forty people raise purchase requests, eight managers approve, and a controller and two AP clerks close the loop. The team needs multi-step approvals, department budgets, three-way matching and a QuickBooks Online sync.

On Precoro, Core covers the matching and the QBO sync, so the listed floor is about 5 988 USD for the first year, paid up front, plus whatever the user tier and setup add. If the controller also wants real-time budget tracking or SSO, the requirement moves to Automation at about 11 988 USD a year.

On Procurer, 51 people fit in the Business plan's 100 user accounts, and Business includes unlimited approval steps, three-way matching and budgets by department, project and GL account. The cost is 2 988 USD billed yearly, or 299 USD per month if the controller prefers to start without an annual commitment. You can see the full plan limits on Procurer pricing.

When Precoro is worth the price

A lower price is not the only thing that matters. Precoro is probably the better choice when:

  • You want expense management, a contract repository and purchasing in one entry plan.
  • You need inventory, PunchOut catalogs or e-invoicing, which sit in Automation.
  • You want an AP module that can also be bought on its own.
  • You are comfortable paying a year up front and your user count is stable.

If your list is mostly requests, approvals, purchase orders, receiving and invoice matching, and you want to start on monthly terms, compare against purchase order software with a published per company price. If you are also weighing Procurify, which does not publish prices at all, our Procurify alternative page puts both vendors in one table.

Does Precoro have a free trial?

Precoro's pricing page does not describe a free plan. Third-party directories list a free trial, so ask sales whether one is available for your plan. Procurer has no free plan either; its interactive demo runs a purchase request through approvals, a budget check and a three-way match without an account.

Is Precoro billed monthly or annually?

Annually. Core, Automation, Enterprise and the standalone AP module are all listed as billed annually, so the first invoice covers twelve months. Procurer offers both monthly billing at 149, 299 or 699 USD and yearly billing at about two months less.

How many users are included in Precoro Core?

Precoro describes its plans as tier based and does not publish the user count per tier on its pricing page. Ask sales for the exact number and the price of the next tier. Procurer lists 25, 100 and 300 user accounts for Team, Business and Scale.

Is Precoro cheaper than Procurify?

Usually, at list price. Precoro's Core plan is about 5 988 USD a year, while Vendr reports a median Procurify contract near 15 000 USD a year. Procurify does not publish prices, so the real gap depends on your quote. See our Procurify pricing breakdown.

What is a cheaper alternative to Precoro?

Procurer covers requests, approvals, purchase orders, receiving, three-way matching and budgets from 149 USD per month per company on monthly terms. It does not include expense management or inventory, so it fits teams whose main need is purchase order control.
