Planergy pricing and how much Planergy costs per user and per year

Planergy does not publish prices. Its website has no pricing page and leads to a booked demo, and software directories describe the price as a per licence, per year subscription, with a fixed yearly enterprise fee for up to 500 licences. The only dollar estimate we found, from ITQlick, puts the first year for 10 users at roughly 5 800 to 10 300 USD plus customization. Contracts start with a one-year term. If you want a purchasing tool with the price on the page, Procurer costs 149 to 699 USD a month per company.

How much does Planergy cost?

Planergy costs whatever your quote says, because it publishes no list price. Directories describe a per licence annual subscription, with a fixed yearly enterprise price for up to 500 licences. ITQlick estimates about 5 800 to 10 300 USD in year one for 10 users, plus customization. That is a third party estimate, not a Planergy figure, and the initial term is one year.

What the Planergy quote is based on

Planergy sells a procure-to-pay platform aimed at mid-market companies. On its own site it lists purchase requests, approvals, purchase orders, receiving, budget management, procurement analytics, spend management, contract management and vendor management on the purchasing side. On the payables side it lists invoice processing, three-way matching, payment approvals and fraud prevention. It also advertises punchout connections to more than 32 supplier catalogs, including Amazon Business, Staples, Grainger and CDW.

Three things move the number on your quote.

  • Licences: GetApp describes pricing as per licence per year. If requesters, approvers and receivers all need a licence, headcount drives the cost.
  • Enterprise band: above a certain size Planergy offers a fixed yearly price for up to 500 licences, and asks larger organizations to call for a quote.
  • Modules: purchasing, AP automation, expenses and payments are sold as one platform, but Spendesk notes that additional modules or users are charged at the fees in effect when you add them.

Integrations listed on Planergy's site are Sage Intacct, Sage 200, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Twinfield, Exact and Bill.com. Ask whether your accounting connection carries any setup fee before you compare totals.

Contract terms to check before you sign

The license model matters less than the paper. Based on what Spendesk reports from Planergy's own terms, these are the points to confirm in writing.

  • Initial term: the first licence term is one year. There is no month to month option in any source we found.
  • Renewal: renewals run in multiples of the initial term. Put the renewal date and the notice period in your calendar the day you sign, or track it in contract management software with the rest of your vendor agreements.
  • Price of growth: users or modules added mid-term are charged at the fees in effect at that time, not at the price you negotiated.
  • Trial: sources disagree. GetApp lists a free trial as available, while Spendesk says there is no free trial or free plan and the path is a scheduled demo. Ask for a sandbox in writing if you need one.
  • Onboarding: ProcureDesk, a competitor, writes that Planergy includes onboarding and support at no extra charge. Confirm whether that covers your ERP connection.

A 40 person company pricing Planergy against a flat plan

A 40 person engineering services firm wants purchase approvals and POs. Fifteen people request purchases, three managers approve, two people receive and the controller matches invoices. That is about 20 people who need access.

Planergy would quote this. ITQlick's estimate for 10 users is 5 800 to 10 300 USD in the first year, and a per licence model means 20 users will usually sit above that, not below it. We cannot give you a Planergy number for 20 users because nobody publishes one, and you should not budget from a guess. What you can say is that the firm is signing for a one-year term at a price set by headcount.

Procurer Team covers the same 20 people for 149 USD a month, or 888 USD a year billed yearly, with requests, two-step approvals, POs, receiving and QuickBooks or Xero export. If the controller wants three-way matching and catalogs, Business costs 299 USD a month or 1 788 USD a year for up to 100 users. Adding the 21st user does not change either price. Planergy is the stronger buy if you want purchasing, invoice processing, expenses and supplier payments in one contract, and if your buyers live on Amazon Business or Grainger punchouts. Reviewers on G2 cited by Spendesk also mention gaps, such as difficulty revising or deleting approved orders and weak tracking of credit memos and complex purchases.

Who should choose Planergy and who should not

Choose Planergy if you are a mid-market organization with more than 50 staff, you want one vendor for procurement and payables, and a one-year contract signed after a demo suits your buying process.

Look elsewhere if you need a budget number before talking to sales, if your headcount is growing fast and per licence pricing will climb with it, or if your real gap is approvals and POs rather than paying invoices. Does Planergy have a free trial?

Sources disagree. GetApp lists a free trial as available, while Spendesk's 2026 review says there is no free trial or free plan and that the path to buying is a scheduled demo. Ask Planergy for a trial or sandbox in writing. Procurer has an interactive demo and you can create an account without a sales call.

Is Planergy priced per user?

Yes, as far as published sources show. Directory listings describe a per licence, per year subscription, and a fixed yearly enterprise price for up to 500 licences. That means every requester, approver and receiver who needs access can add to the bill, so count users carefully before you ask for a quote.

Does Planergy integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Planergy lists QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop among its integrations, together with Xero, Sage Intacct, Sage 200, Exact, Twinfield and Bill.com. Ask whether the connection is included in your quote or priced as part of implementation, since that changes the first-year total.

How long is a Planergy contract?

A Planergy contract starts with a one-year licence term, according to Spendesk's reading of Planergy's terms, and renews in multiples of that term. Users or modules added later are charged at the fees in effect at the time. Note the renewal date and notice period when you sign.

What is a cheaper alternative to Planergy?

If your main need is purchase requests, approvals, POs and receiving, Procurer costs 149, 299 or 699 USD a month per company, or 888 to 4 188 USD a year billed yearly, with 25 to 300 users included. It does not process supplier payments or expenses, and it has no punchout catalogs.
