Airbase pricing and what the Airbase platform costs after the Paylocity deal

Airbase does not publish a price. The old airbase.com/pricing address now redirects to the Paylocity pricing page, because Paylocity completed its acquisition of Airbase on October 1, 2024, and sources describe the product as custom quoted. Third party listings show three plan levels with purchase orders only on the top one. If you are pricing Airbase for purchasing, treat the first number as a quote, not a list price.

How much does Airbase cost?

Expect a quote, not a price list. Airbase publishes no dollar figure, and its pricing address redirects to Paylocity. Aggregators call the pricing custom, with volume pricing for 50 or more users, and show purchase orders on the highest tier. Ask for a written first year total that names every module you need.

What we could confirm about Airbase pricing in November 2026

We checked the vendor address, Paylocity's announcement and third party listings in November 2026. This is what holds up.

The honest reading is that the plan names and what sits in each plan are not reliable from outside the sales process. One listing says purchase orders come with the highest tier. Confirm that in writing before you build a business case on it.

What the numbers around Airbase mean

Some review sites quote a monthly range for mid-sized companies. We do not repeat a figure here because none of them cites an Airbase quote, an order form or a customer invoice, and the vendor price page no longer exists on Airbase's own site. A number without a source is not a budget.

What you can reason about is the structure. Airbase is a spend platform that bundles corporate cards, bill pay, expense reports and procurement. The price covers all of it, so a team that only needs request, approval and purchase order control is paying for modules it will not use. That is not a flaw in the product, it is what a suite is.

Questions to ask for an Airbase quote

Because the answer lives in the order form, ask for these in writing so you can compare two vendors line by line.

  • Which plan includes purchase orders, and are they in your quote or an add-on?
  • Is the fee per user, per transaction, per module or a bundle, and what happens at 50 users and above?
  • What is the first year total, including onboarding, training and integration with your ledger?
  • Which accounting systems are included, and is your ledger one of them?
  • How are cards, bill pay and procurement priced when you only want one of them?
  • What changed after the Paylocity acquisition: product roadmap, support model, contract terms?
  • What are the renewal terms, the notice period and the cap on increases?
  • What happens to your data and supplier records if you leave?

Take a company with 60 employees, 15 people who request or approve purchases, about 300 supplier invoices a month and QuickBooks Online as the ledger.

We cannot put a dollar figure in the Airbase column and we will not guess one. The Procurer columns are list prices. If cards and bill pay are already settled elsewhere, the question is whether a suite is worth paying for just to unlock purchase orders.

When Airbase makes sense and when it does not

Request an Airbase quote if you want corporate cards, expense reports, bill pay and procurement from one vendor, you are comfortable with a sales led contract, and your finance team will use most of the modules. Consolidating tools can be worth a premium if it removes two or three subscriptions and a reconciliation step.

Choose a published price tool if your problem is narrower. People buy without approval, POs go out late, and invoices are paid without checking what arrived. Procurer's Team plan covers requests, approvals, POs and receiving for 149 USD a month per company, and it exports approved bills to QuickBooks Online or Xero.

Whichever route you take, put a number on the first year before the demo. A simple AI budget and cash forecast built from your QuickBooks or Xero data shows how much room the ledger has for a new software line.

How much does Airbase cost?

Is Airbase owned by Paylocity?

Yes. Paylocity announced the completion of its acquisition of Airbase on October 1, 2024. Paylocity describes Airbase as finance and spend management software that combines bill pay, accounts payable automation, expense management, corporate cards and procurement.

Does Airbase have purchase orders?

One third party listing places purchase orders on the Enterprise tier, with approval rules by location, vendor, category and department. The vendor does not confirm this on a public price page, so ask which plan includes purchase orders and whether they are in your quote.

Does Airbase have a free trial?

One listing reports no free trial and another mentions a free plan, so the sources conflict. Ask your sales contact whether a pilot or sandbox is part of the evaluation before you sign.

What is a cheaper alternative to Airbase for purchasing?

Procurer is a lower priced option if you need requests, approvals, POs and receiving. Team costs 149 USD monthly, Business 299 and Scale 699 per company. It has no corporate cards or bill pay. Compare modules, matching depth and your ledger before choosing.
